Microsoft announced a mobile operating system for corporations

Линейки мобильных ОС MicrosoftMicrosoft has announced a new mobile operating system for embedded devices, and devices used by corporate customers. She introduced Steve Ballmer at the launch of the new corporate smartphone Motorola ES400 17 June, writes PC Magazine.
The new operating system called Windows Embedded Handheld and based on the technologies Windows Mobile 6.5. It will come to the end of 2010. In the second half of 2011 this OS will be switched to Windows Phone Technology 7.

Previously, Microsoft offers two software platforms for enterprise mobile devices: Windows Embedded CE (the prototype of the next version was shown on June 1) and Windows Mobile. As stated in the press release Microsoft, Windows Embedded Handheld will improve interaction with embedded devices - for example, the terminals used in shops, technology-based Windows Mobile.

In 2009, it sold 2.3 million of such corporate mobile devices. By 2014 this figure, analysts estimate the company VDC, will grow to 4.3 million units. On Windows Embedded CE and Windows Mobile in the past year had 87 percent of these deliveries.
